Audrey & Mike (Nashville Couples Photography)

May 20, 2011

You might recognize Audrey from her comp session a few months ago, she came back with her awesome boyfriend Mike for a couples session.  It was a fun mix of a couples shoot with a few individual shots thrown in here and there.  Before the session I asked them if they had any ideas for shots they wanted and they told me I should just “do my thing”.  Now, what photographer doesn’t love hearing that!

I had such a great time working with you, can’t wait to do it again!

Thanks for looking,

Mandy

Meagan & Logan

December 20, 2010

Meagan & Logan are an adorably sweet couple that will be getting married in May in Southeast Missouri. They selected the Bollinger Mill to do their engagement photos, a location I hadn’t been to before and now LOVE! There are so many great spots there to do portraits, and the people who work there are super friendly. We even had a cat trying to get in on some of the pictures! I’m so excited to put these images together for them into a sign in book for their wedding – it is going to be awesome.

Meagan & Logan, May will be here before we know it and I can’t wait!

Erin & Shawn's Engagment Session – Southeast Missouri

June 16, 2010

As promised, the second blog this week featuring one of my little cousins.  Well, of course they aren’ t little anymore, but I can’t help thinking of them that way!

Meet Erin & Shawn.  They will be getting married in October of this year and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding.  I have known Erin her entire life and have watched her grow up into an incredible young woman.  The spot we chose for their photos is right behind her parent’s home on some farm land of her dads.  This is the place where Shawn proposed to Erin one night during a walk!  I don’t think he was thinking about it when he proposed, but what a wonderful spot for pictures….ahhh, photographer heaven!  At least my version.  Big fields, dirt roads, round hay bales, old fences, barns….yep – all the important things!

So, as a photographer, one of the things I’m always after is true interaction, real smiles, laughter, fun, love.   In engagement shoots that often comes during those in between moments when the couple is interacting with each other and paying no attention to you.  That is the case here as well, and since I’ve known Erin her entire life it makes seeing those moments mean even more…..knowing she is in love and happy…..I can see it when I look at these pictures, can you see it too?

Lindsey & Johnny's downtown Nashville engagement session! (Nashville, TN Wedding Photography)

April 17, 2010

Lindsey & Johnny picked a great warm day to do their engagement photos in downtown Nashville.  We had a lot of fun wondering around town, finding alley’s, doors, parking lots-they were up for anything!  Johnny is a musician, so we thought it would be fun to use some authentic props for their shoot, including a save the date addition to his amp case.  A big thank you to the wonderful Stephanie Russell for doing a fantastic job with Lindsey’s hair and makeup!

Enjoy the preview!

Chris & Lauren's Engagement Photos (Nashville, TN)

March 24, 2010

You might have seen the first of Lauren’s posts yesterday, with her shoot that was completely just for fun.  Today I present part two of that session, Lauren & Chris’ engagement portraits.  They picked a beautiful day for it and I was SO glad to be spending part of the afternoon with them, outside, wandering downtown Nashville.  It was very easy to see how much they love each other……they were so playful and have such fun together!   They were definitely up for where ever I took them, which made my job even easier.

Great meeting you both, can’t wait for your next trip here!

Enjoy the preview!

Since they are from Texas, I couldn’t resist using this wall…..how perfect!
