A Steeplechase inspired baby shower at the Nashville Governors Club!

June 2, 2011

When Ashley’s mom Kim called me and told me about the plans for Ashley’s baby shower at the Governors Club I knew everything was going to look beautiful!  A race themed shower, complete with rocking horse cake (made by Jo’s Custom Cakes & Catering) and cookies (made by Sweet Cheeks Cookie Company) and lots and lots of fabulous hats.  The best one, in my opinion, created by Ashely’s grandmother just for the occasion.  Ashley looked beautiful and everyone had such a great time!

Thanks for letting me share your day Ashley!

Ken & Leanne (Nashville Maternity Portraits)

May 17, 2011

Alright ladies, time to get jealous.  I got a phone call for these photos from Ken – he really wanted his beautiful wife to have images of this pregnancy and he was setting it all up for her.  How wonderful, right!  As you can see, they are an adorable couple and Leanne is just gorgeous!  Ken told me on the phone that Leanne was photogenic and he wasn’t kidding.  They came with lots of great ideas for their session and although I can’t share them all on blog, everything turned out great!

Enjoy the preview,

Mandy

Nicole’s Maternity Portraits (nashville maternity photography)

March 1, 2011

I just love these images of Nicole & Josh and am so excited to get to share them today!  Maternity photos are so much fun to do, lots of great expectations ahead for photos with the little one who is on the way.

Nicole & Josh brought some great props including their fully decked out Titans gear and a great baby name sign made by her their friend Emily.  They also brought a ribbon with the baby’s initials embroidered on it to wrap around Nicole’s belly – so cute!

Nicole looks great and is so tiny it’s hard to believe she’s as far along as she is and Josh was a great sport during the session, thanks again guys!

I can’t wait to photograph little Daxton!

Here a few of my favorite photographs from their maternity session.

Jennifer’s maternity session (Nashville Maternity Photography)

December 29, 2010

The day of Jennifer’s maternity session comes and I get a call….it’s Jennifer and after her doctors appointment she learns that she will have to be induced late that evening as a precaution, to keep everything okay with her baby. So, quite understandably, Jennifer cancelled her session as she just found out that she had a couple fewer weeks than she thought before Elle came. About an hour later I get another call from Jennifer, she’s decided to go for it after all! (and I’m so glad she did)

So, these photos are taken the day before little Elle got here. I can’t imagine the feelings that were going on for Jennifer during her session, but we had such a good time getting these shots. She is hilarious and was up for anything!
(And yes, she looked equally great the week after when I visited her and Elle in their Nashville home for newborn photos-coming later this week!)

Enjoy the preview,
Mandy

Henley’s Two Year Session (Nashville Children’s Photography)

November 1, 2010

Today is an excellent day to premiere Henley’s two year session on the blog. Get ready, this super cute little girl will melt you, I promise. Her mom Holly also got a few maternity shots with Henley, which is always such a great way to document a growing family! Shot at one of my favorite locations, the Ellington Agriculture Center.

Enjoy the preview,
Mandy

Swift family maternity + muscle car + puppy = awesome

October 27, 2010

Rhea & John are expecting soon and they wanted to get some maternity portraits including their little pup, Bella. In addition, John refurbishes muscle cars and wanted to take some shots with one of his latest.

First of all, Rhea looks gorgeous. Bella was so sweet and cute (and probably in for a surprise in the next few months). As far as John’s car refurbishing skills go, I think the picture speaks for itself. The sun setting in that shot really gave it some extra va-va-vroom.

Enjoy the preview,
Mandy

Christie & Kenny & one on the way! (Nashville Maternity Photography)

April 16, 2010

I met Christie & Kenny last year at a friend’s wedding and am thrilled to get to capture their maternity photos as well as their soon to arrive little man’s first year!  They were absolutely cracking up throughout the session, which made everything even more fun!  Kenny & I have a similar dry sense of humor, so it was a lot of fun for me too!  Christie looks beautiful and they are super excited about their new little one (they do have a name picked out, but I’m not sure just how public that is so I’ll keep it to myself for now.)  Can’t wait to see you all in a few weeks!

Enjoy the preview!
