Ella is just a little slice of newborn heaven. She is the sweetest little girl and slept right through the entire session, no breaks needed for her Her mom & dad brought in the cutest things for her – including her grandmothers coat, some adorable leg warmers with a matching hat, and a wonderful white rug! And they also got in a few shots with her, which I think is so great – can you believe this gorgeous mom just had a baby 6 days ago!

Meet Max & Jack!

I was so excited to get to photograph these two adorable boys during a recent trip to Omaha! I had photographed Jack before, last year before Max made his appearance into the world and now they are 2 and 7 months – hard to believe how fast time flies. I’d also like to introduce Sluggo – their very large, sweet Collie who I just love in this photo below

Riley is 7! {Nashville child photography}

The age of seven might be my favorite. Really, it’s a great age for photographing kids. They are silly and fun & give you just about every expression you can think of. They love cartwheels and spinning around in fancy dresses (not together of course). They giggle and are serious, and tell you funny stories about their pets, school, and their siblings.

Also, for this session, Riley’s mom brought this great chair that has been in their family a long time. She’s had photographs of Riley taken in it every year! How great is that!

The Bogenpohl Family! {Southeast Missouri Family Photography}

I was so happy to be able to work with the Bogenpohl family while in Missouri over Easter. I have known this family my entire life. I played volleyball with Sheri in high school & Sharon used to teach Sunday School when I was little. I see Dave & Terry at least once a year (and usually more often) at this great little thing called the Altenburg fair where I have declared them both my Altenburg fair besties. Sheri is married now with two adorable kids and Terry & his fiance Erica are getting married later this year.

The perks of doing photos on a family farm are great. The photos mean more because it’s somewhere important to the family and there are always lots of fun buildings, fences and the occasional surprise supervisor (see below).

I really love this somewhat non-traditional first group shot. Devon hanging off the tree branch was not my suggestion – just something he wanted to do

I’ve been photographing Mia for her entire life, and this is the session that made me say “when did she turn into a grown up?” Okay, I know I’m exaggerating quite a bit here, but she is definitely growing up! This fun mini-session took place at Bollinger Mill & we got so many fun photos of Mia, showing all the sides of her personality. I can’t wait til next time!

The Bridges Family – Nashville Family Photography

It’s always so wonderful to see families getting together for special occassions and celebrations of the great things that happen in life. Today’s post is certainly one of those times. Margie and Gary Bridges celebrated their 50th anniversary at the Avalon House on the Lipscomb campus, surrounded by their children and grandchildren. It was a loving, fun bunch and I’m so happy I was able to be a part of it. We even got a photo of them cutting the cake, as they had done 50 years ago at their wedding!

Sammy Jo – Update on our foster pup!

You first met Samantha at the beginning of January, when our foster experience with her began. I thought an update of this awesome pup was in order, since she is now 5 months old! She’s definitely changed alot since that first blog post.

Sammy has really turned into a great dog. She and our basset hound Rosie play ALL the time and she interacts well with our two cats. In fact, one of them really likes Sammy and they play as well. She is now house broken and crate trained. She can sit and is learning to walk on her leash. She’s very sweet and good natured, she’s gotten along with every dog and person we’ve had her around. She has grown, and is about 25 pounds now – we don’t think she’s going to get too much bigger.

Sammy is fully vetted and is ready to come to your house and fill it with puppy love! Please contact us or Noah’s Ark Society if you are interested in meeting her!

Elena’s newborn photos – Nashville Newborn Photography

I don’t know about you, but in my life there has been a large number of new babies as well as many little ones still on the way – which is so great! I’m so excited and happy for everyone!

My friends Heather & Josh recently had their first little one, Elena Pearce, and I feel honored that I got to do her newborn photos. Elena is beautiful and has 3 furry siblings – one of which tried to steal the show while Elena was taking a meal break. Hilarious.

And what’s even better is that today is Heather’s birthday – Happy Birthday Heather!
