The Hartmann Family {Nashville Dog Photography}

I’m so happy to share, for the second time, the Hartmann family! They have been on the blog before, about three years ago. Sadly, the sweet corgis they had at that time have passed on, and they have now added two sweet new pups to their pack. You can take a look at that session here: The Hartmann Family

We took these photos at Shelby and Thomas’ beautiful home in Franklin. Introducing a one-and-a-half-year-old Welsh corgi named Eddy Merckx, and a five-year-old dachshund named Asher.

When I asked the couple about their dogs’ names, they told me Asher already had his name, but they loved it! Eddy Merckx is named after cyclist, a world champion one, at that!
Asher loves his treats and really all food but dislikes having squirrels in his yard. Eddy Merckx loves his (and Asher’s!) toys, but he hates baths.

Shelby and Thomas love that both Asher and Eddy are so loyal to them AND to each other. “It is the sweetest.”

While Eddy M is not a rescue dog, Asher is. He came from TN Dachshund Rescue (TDR). Which the Hartmann’s “HIGHLY RECOMMEND” with a “shout out to Sheraine and Jamie!”

I also wanted to know what it was about these dog breeds this couple loved. They said:

“Asher is our first doxie, and we will definitely go back to TDR.  They did a great job of pairing us with a dog that fit our needs after our sweet Norman passed away.  Doxies are fierce little hunters but very loyal and kind.  We are smitten! Eddy Merckx is our 3rd corgi - we love their herding nature and how they like to ‘keep all of us together’.”

I hope you enjoy these great photos of this couple and their cute dogs!

The Copeland Family {Nashville Dog Photographer}

I am so excited to share photos from TWO sessions with the Copeland couple and their pup! The first session was in November of last year at Marcella Vivrette Smith Park. The second session was just last week at Percy Warner Park. We went to the beautiful stone steps there, also known as the Majestic Allée Steps.

Meet Caitlin, Jason and Cash. At the first session, Cash was just a 14 month old Frenchie pup! (Though in human years, he was considered a teenager!). Cash was named after none other than Johnny Cash because of his legacy in Nashville, and Nashville is where Caitlin and Jason fell in love and made their home.

Cash loves his cuddles and hates being alone. The Copeland’s love that his personality is so cute and quirky, something they love so much about the breed. Along with all the Frenchie quirks, Caitlin and Jason love that they are a loving and loyal breed.

The last three pictures are of the second session, where you will see that this beautiful couple has an announcement! Within the photo is a photo of their baby girl! Caitlin is 15 weeks pregnant at the time of their second session - congratulations!!

The Owens Family {Nashville Dog Photography}

The Owens Family and I headed to the Ellington Agriculture Center for some beautiful fall photos with their dogs! I love how the colors in the background go perfectly with the outfits they chose.

The people: Carly and Nate. The Pets: Dobby and Waffle.

Dobby is a 3-year-old Corgi mix. Carly named him after Dobby the House Elf from the Harry Potter series because that was her favorite character in the series. Dobby is her baby :). He is extremely energetic and loves food of any kind! He also loves people and will play fetch for hours. Dobby really hates being woken-up or having his feet touched. Carly’s favorite things about him are his intelligence and loyalty! He is almost too smart at times and would follow her anywhere!

Waffle is an 8-month old Great Pyrenees. She is named Waffle because Nate just said it, and well, it just fit. Waffle was supposed to be the Owens’ very first foster, but after 15 minutes, Nate asked if they could keep her! Waffle loves food, being outside, and cuddling. She thinks she still weighs ten pounds, and therefore, she must be a lapdog! She loves to climb on people’s lap. Waffle is the opposite of her brother and seems to love everything. Carly’s favorite thing about her is that she gives boops with her noise instead giving kisses.

I hope you enjoy the cute dog photos below.
