The Parrott Family {Nashville Family Photographer}

On the blog this week is a fun portrait session at Smith Park with the Parrott Family! In my favorite images below, you'll meet Jimmy, Laura, their three daughters (Katie, Allie, and Emma), and their adorable dog, Harper Noe.

Harper is just a bundle of love -- and soft fur! She's a four-year-old small goldendoodle and has a cute backstory about her middle name. Their family chose the first name after voting on dozens of options, and the name "Noe" was added since it's her grandmother's maiden name and Jimmy and Laura never had a fourth child, which would have had it as a middle name. I think it's so unique and meaningful!

Laura says Harper's favorite thing is "anything with the word "ball" in it," which just cracks me up! She doesn't like the vacuum, but loves snuggling with people. They all love how animated she gets when they walk through the door -- it's enough to bring a smile to anyone's face who meets her!

I hope you enjoy these favorites from their adorable family session!

The Norrod Family {Westmoreland Family Photographer}

I absolutely love it when I get to photograph families and pets at their own home -- especially in a beautiful place like Westmoreland!

On the blog this week are some of my favorite photos from a session with the Norrod family, including Alison, Daniel, their two dogs (Phoebe Yang and Buddy Love) and their cat, Hogan. Not only did I get the chance to see these lovable furry friends, but I also was able to meet their chickens and see lots of deer out on their stunning property!

Phoebe Yang and Buddy Love are both malti tzus (maltese shih tzu mix), but each have their own personality that comes along with their unique names. Phoebe has been a part of their family for nearly 10 years and was named after the famous Phoebe of Friends. The Yang portion of her name came from her shih tzu ancestry: Alison chose Yang because it symbolizes positivity. For some odd reason, she really enjoys Western movies (which I thought was cute and hilarious!).

Buddy Love loves anything he can eat, and enjoys spending time running around the yard and tagging along for car rides. He's not much a fan of baths, haircuts and being told, "No." Alison says, "He's funny because if he's in trouble, he'll follow you around until you smile or laugh at him."

And Hogan was adopted through New Leash on Life Lebanon when he was only 3 months old -- now he's 11! He's part Maine Coon and acts just like a dog. He even knows commands, enjoys haircuts and loves hunting -- but also loves sitting on your shoulders.

I hope you enjoy these few previews of their beautiful family and home!

Stacey, Armando & Seve {Nashville Dog Photographer}

On the blog this week is an adorable family session with Stacey and Armando and their sweet black lab, Seve! I had so much fun taking their portraits at their new home in a beautiful new neighborhood where every street has a farm animal name!

Seve is a little over 3 years old and has quite a unique story! One of Stacey's friends worked at Murphy Road Animal Hospital and when a puppy came into the clinic with swimmers syndrome (a difficult scenario that often requires lots of physical therapy to overcome), a woman who overheard the situation asked that they call her before deciding to put the dog down. Long story short, she rescued him and with the help of her friends and a physical therapist, he was able to retrain his muscles and become healthy. When she could no longer keep him, Stacey and Armando brought him home and he's been there ever since!

Seve is named after the famous Spanish golfer.  Seve (the golfer) was known for being a fighter, too, so it fit with the puppy's saucy personality and his backstory very well!

Seve absolutely loves food and playing chase, although he isn't much a fan of kids or flea medicine time. Stacey's favorite thing about him is how much he enjoys going with her on car rides and she loves that black labs are smart, loyal and easy to train.

I'm sure you'll fall in love with his charming smile! Just take a look at some of my favorites below!
