The Whipp Family (Part 1) {Nashville Dog Photography}

This week on the blog is a family I photographed last fall. I had the opportunity to do the photos at their beautiful home and land in the White Bluff area. This place was a photographer’s dream, as there were just so many magical places to use as the backdrop for their family photos. The beauty captured almost seems unreal, but I promise, no fake backdrops here! I have split this family post into two parts because there are just so many photos I loved from the session. I’m excited to be photographing them again this week!

This is the Whipp family: Amy, Jake and Landon (who is six years old here). With them is Piccolo, their two-year-old golden lab mix. They also have two barn cats - Boots and Barkley who were around for some photos as well. Amy outdid herself in creating set ups for their session and selecting perfect outfits for each spot!

The Komnick Family {Nashville Dog Photography}

This week on the blog, meet the Komnick Family: Malika, Robby, Mia and Rambo. Their photo session was done at Ellington Agricultural Center. (There is still one more spot for a mini left at this location! Please click on this booking link to reserve it).

Mia and Rambo are the cute dogs you see in the photos below. Mia is five and was named by her foster mom, so Malika and Robby kept it. As for Rambo (age three), Robby liked the name for him. These two sweet pups are both very loving, but the couple agrees that Mia loves Robby the most. While Rambo loves to get treats, Mia is not treat motivated at all. Rambo also loves as much affection and pets as he can get!

Both dogs are from rescues in North Carolina. Mia is from the Franklin Humane Society, and Rambo is from Saving Grace.

The Carpenter Family {Nashville Pet Photography}

This week on the blog, we have the Carpenter Family, including Laura and Jeremy with their sweet pup, Riley. We did this session at one of my favorite spots, Marcella Vivrette Smith Park.

With this blog, we celebrate life for two different reasons: Laura and Jeremy were expecting their sweet boy Heath Thomas, who is 10 months old now! But also, in the time that has passed since we took those photos, Riley has passed away. We celebrate the long life she had with her people! In these photos, she was 17.

To get to know this cute dog a little more… Riley also went by the name of “Riley-Roo”, and she loved cookies. She was such a resilient dog and the Carpenters loved her love of life. “We’ve been through a lot of big life events together.” They adopted Riley from the Humane Society of the Pikes Region in Colorado Springs, CO.
