I love this wedding. Okay, fair enough, I do love all my weddings. But when the couple getting married are also friends, it makes me even more happy to be a part of their wedding day! This is case with Tavi & Kevin.

I've been able to watch their relationship grow and I know how happy they make each other. They chose a beautiful color palette of grey & yellow for their day, complete with Chuck Taylor's for all of the bridal party. Tavi's were, of course, monogramed with her new name - Mrs. Patterson. Their friends and family in attendance were all so sweet & had a great time celebrating this fantastic couple.

CJ's off the Square was gorgeous us usual! The ladies there do such a great job making everything run smoothly - no stress for the bride = a happy bride for sure!

I'm so happy to share more images today from Erin & Jake's May wedding at the Downtown Presbyterian Church here in Nashville. Such a beautiful church, completely worth a peek inside with it's gorgeous Egyptian Revival architectural details.

The couple loved all the interesting details found here and thought it was the perfect place for them to be married. I agree! Erin & Jake really make each other happy, and isn't that what it's all about? They are both creative and unique people who fit perfectly together. They wanted their wedding day to be a celebration, and I think it was just that.

I had such a great time working with with you all!

Jen & Derek {Asheville Wedding Photographer}

I've known Jen & Derek for a while now, and I know that they have not had the easiest road. You see, Derek has been deployed several times during their relationship and even now, just a few months after the wedding they are in separate places once again for just a short while. This can't be easy, and it can't be easy planning a wedding when you aren't in the same physical space to do it together. But Jen & Derek have this all figured out, and it makes me respect them and their relationship even more. Jen just lights up around Derek, as he does around her as well. A cheesy way to say it? Maybe. But it is honestly true. It is easy to see why they are together and how they thrive as a couple!

Lets talk for just a minute about this location....a photographer's dream. Seriously, ridiculously beautiful. Really, the entire wedding day was pretty great! I'd say awesome even. They had such great details too - from the mad libs guest book to the lego cake, everything was perfect!

The perfect combination of beautiful location, beautiful weather, beautiful couple, fun details and great friends & family!

Jen & Derek, thanks again for asking me to be a part of your day. I really enjoyed meeting and working with your friends and family!
