John Patrick {Nashville Newborn Photographer}

I am so very excited to share John Patrick's debut on the blog (and to the world) this morning! This little guy was just 10 days old at the time of his session, which we did at his new home. John Patrick did great for me, and when he did need to take a break I got a chance to photograph his older, furry, four legged  brother & sister - Arlo & Lucy.

Lucy kept a close eye on all the activities and I can tell those two are going to be great friends! There were a couple of really special items we used during his session.  First, the gorgeous bowl in these photos was hand made by John Patrick's grandfather. It is so pretty, I really wanted to just sneak it out of the house and into my car :)  

In the last photo here you see a blanket with a butterfly in the background. That blanket was started by his great-great grandmother and used by all the ladies down that line. The butterflies are made out of flour sacks! How great is that!

Alisha & Aaron's Winter Wedding {Southeast Missouri Wedding Photographer}

I am so very excited to share more images from Alisha & Aaron's gorgeous winter wedding! This was a truly fun day for me to be a part of, both families and all their friends were so happy and excited for them and that energy was obvious throughout the day. I really loved how lighthearted and fun everyone was. This was my first wedding where the church was still decorated for Christmas and I think having the trees and lights up made everything look that much more festive! (I wonder if I can request that in July :) Also, it was a REALLY cold January day, but our lovely couple braved the it to get some of my favorite shots in Downtown Cape Girardeau!

The reception had so many beautiful details! The two forks the couple used during the cake cutting were Aaron's grandparents. Also, Aaron MADE all the little bowls filled with mints (which were made by the mother of the bride) at the reception, as well as the doves on top of the wedding cake! Amazing!!

Aaron & Alisha, I had such a great time working with you! I wish you the happiest of marriages!

Matt & Lana's Proposal! {Nashville Wedding Photographer}

When Matt contacted me about doing this surprise proposal for Lana and having me there to photograph it I was SO excited. We went to work figuring out the best plan so I wasn't too obviously there for them. Matt had it all figured out. He and his girlfriend Lana (now fiancé!) were going into Germantown to the courtyard of the apartments they lived in here in Nashville, which also just happened to be where they met - perfect! The proposal was a huge success! Lana was very surprised, and it was so great to be a part of such an important day for them!
