Agape Animal Rescue Holiday Event {Nashville Dog Photographer}

The holidays aren't just for celebrating with your relatives, they're for spending time with your furry family members, too!

On December 2nd, I'll be teaming up with Agape Animal Rescue for a charity event where you'll get the chance to take holiday photos with your pet(s)! You can bring your pooch to the event at My Second Home Pet Resort between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. that day, and take pictures with your pet in your ugly holiday sweaters!

There is a $20 minimum donation to participate, which is benefiting Agape Animal Rescue to help animals find loving families and forever homes -- and one high-resolution digital image is included! We'll also be running a special where you can get 25 5x7 flat holiday cards for only $40 (normally $60). And any other purchases from the event will be available for a 10% discount.

These preview images were a fun little test run with Miller (the bigger dog) and Ally, and Wallace (the cute little pooch) and Tanya!

The Dalton Family {Nashville Family Photographer}

Another fun family mini session is on the blog this week, this time with the Dalton family! Meet Michael, Tiffany, Jackson, Caitlin and their pup Peyton.

When I asked them how they came up with the name for Peyton, I loved their answer! Each member of the family put their favorite dog name in a bowl and when Caitlin pulled the paper out, it was her favorite name that was picked -- such a unique way of picking a name!

He's a yellow lab that makes for the perfect family dog, since he loves the kids and is really easy to train. Peyton also loves to be with his people and "stand guard" at the office door. They often find him curled up asleep next to the door, so cute! Their favorite things about him are that he's tenderhearted, gentle and an old soul. 

It was also great to hear about the kids' favorite activities: Jackson loves anything involving baseball, basketball, football and his friends, while Caitlin loves to dance, read and convince her brother to be mischievous. And of course both kids are fantastic helpers with Peyton, making sure he gets lots of exercise!

The Abell Family {Nashville Dog Photographer}

It's one of my favorite parts of the year: fall mini sessions! Between the warm colors and the cooler air, it's just perfect for pets and their people mini sessions at my home.

This week I'd love for you to meet the Abell family: Melissa, Pat, and their 10-month-old pup Moxie. Before they even adopted her from Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue, they had the name Moxie in mind, and thought it was especially fitting for her once they learned her personality. "Moxie" means courage or determination, and since she was abandoned along with her siblings and dumped in a ditch on the side of the road, they thought she must have had a lot of "moxie" to survive that. 

She's likely a black lab mix, and loves to play with other dogs at the dog park every day. Her least favorite thing is swimming -- and as Melissa worded it, "We adopted the only lab in the world who hates the water!" Their favorite thing about her is how happy and silly she is. She's so full of joy, I'm sure you'll get a sense of that from these photos!
