Maranda and Reba {Nashville Dog Photography}

First and foremost, it is my hope that you and your family had a very Merry Christmas and the Happiest of Holidays. I know this year has been difficult for many, and I am so grateful to all of you. Furry and human alike, I was able to photograph many hopeful and smiling faces this year. Thank you for sharing your families with me!

I thought it was very appropriate to have the last post of the year be my long time clients Maranda and Reba! They are the sweetest, and this year Liam was able to meet them since their mini was at my home (he LOVES seeing all the doggies that come to the house for minis). Maranda and Reba’s fantastic faces have found their way onto my business cards and several of my sample items. These came from Maranda and Reba’s very first Pets and Their People Photography session with me at Harlinsdale Farms.

Fall is the best time of year for them since Reba’s coat matches the fall leaves perfectly. And just how did Reba get such an iconic name…Nashville’s very own Reba McEntire of course! Reba is a 10 or 11 year old rescue from a no-kill shelter in Western TN, through a Petsmart adoption day in Nashville. She is part pit, dachshund and kangaroo. I have witnessed how high this dog can jump and it is truly awesome to watch. Though she did JUST recover from double back knee replacement surgery, she is doing great! (Yes, she can still do what she loves - jump!)

Maranda says she is "literally the best dog" - easygoing, doesn't bark 99.9% of the time, and gets along with all people and other dogs. Reba is also full of snuggles, loves to sleep in and is the best embodiment of unconditional love, ever.

I hope you enjoy some of my favorites! And from my family to yours…Happy New Year. May this new year bring you and your families many moments of joy and smiles!

The Cho Family {Franklin, TN Dog Photographer}

This week's session spotlight is one of my favorites! Meet the Cho family: Tim, Judy, and their pup named Chloe. I had so much fun capturing their photos at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin, TN. I don't know about you, but I can't stop myself from stop smiling when I see Chloe's face!

Chloe is only a year old and is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She's a pup who can't get enough affection and treats, and embraces new experiences with her family regularly. She even swims in the lake while canoeing and enjoys road trips!

They found Chloe through a lovely older couple in Athens, TN who breeds happy balanced Corgis -- and even had a chance to meet Chloe's fur parents!

Tim and Judy say they love Corgis because they have a spirit of "big-heartedness in small packaging" and are fun, loving, loyal and affectionate. With one look at Chloe's face, I'm sure you'll agree all of this is true!

Sophie & Velma {Franklin, TN Dog Photographer}

On the blog this week are some adorable photos from a dog photography session at one of my favorite places in Franklin: Harlinsdale Farm!

Meet Sophie and her little pup yorkie, Velma. I had been wanting to create this shot of a girl riding on her bike with a dog in the basket, and they were the perfect models to bring my vision to life! I can't get enough of how cute they both look together!

Sophie was five years old when she named Velma after one of her favorite TV characters from Scooby Doo. Velma loves to go on car rides and snuggle on the couch, but runs away from any kind of bags or papers crinkling. Sophie loves her so much and even dresses her up in doll clothing! (What a patient pup!)

Their family found Velma on a canoe trip as a tiny puppy, wet and muddy on the river bank. Sophie's family rescued her and gave her a great home.
