Kaze the Great...Dane! {Nashville Pet Photographer}

On the blog today are Kaze and his people, Nicole and Adam! I took these pics on a beautiful, fall day in my backyard about one month before Baby Whitley arrived. (Which is why you are just seeing them now).

Kaze is short for Kamikaze because when he gets the zoomies and throws his massive weight around, it is time to watch out!

I asked Nicole and Adam why they chose to get a Great Dane. “Danes are truly gentle giants, massive lap puppies, huge couch potatoes, scaredy cats and great cuddlers.” I guess it makes complete sense that one of his passions is the couch and that he does not like the Roomba! If you can’t find Kaze on the couch, you might find him eating his favorite thing…cookies.

Kaze is a quirky Dane that attracts a lot of attention when Nicole and Adam go out, and everyone has to say hello or love on him. Take a look at some of my favorite pics from our session below!

The Hartmann Family {Nashville Dog Photographer}

Whew, time has flown by since my last post, hasn’t it? My posts have been few and far between for the 17 months because I have been busy tending to the newest member of my pack, Liam! It seems the human babies need a bit more care than the furry types, and I am loving every minute of it!

But it is time for me to get back to it…as you all are well aware, we are are in the midst of a pandemic. Because social media has inundated us with lots of COVID-19 information, I knew I needed to provide something joyful and fun…sure to make you smile and just maybe say out loud, “awwwww”. There is nothing like our adorable pets that can help us smile even just for a moment. I know it helps me, so I am hopeful it will help you too!

Without further ado…I was so fortunate to photograph these cute, cute, cute corgis and their people back in December. Meet Norman, a male Corgi, age 14 and Gracie, a female Corgi, age 7. Their people are Shelby and Thomas. When I asked Shelby and Thomas about their names, they told me that Norman is named after a German cyclist. Gracie was named because she was a clumsy pup! (She has since grown out of her clumsiness)

Norman and Gracie LOVE FOOD. All. Of. It! They also like playing fetch. I was told Gracie HATES having her picture taken, so when she kept wondering off and then running back towards me, I took the opportunities to get some great action shots! Norman is generally just a happy guy, but he doesn’t really like the water or to have his ears or feet touched.

Norman and Gracie love and really protect each other. Corgis have a natural herding instinct, so if their people are in different parts of the house, they will find a spot in the middle of wherever their people are!

Enjoy some of my faves from the Hartmann family session!

The Holland Family {Nashville Cat Photographer}

I’m so excited to have some sweet kitties on the blog today!

Meet the Holland family: Adam, Andrea, Aidan, Austin and their cats KitKat and Kisses.

Even though they aren’t sisters, both girls are about one and a half years old and were adopted together. Kisses is a domestic medium hair tabby and KitKat is a domestic short hair calico.

Andrea told me the boys named them. “Aidan chose KitKat before we went to pick her up, and Austin chose Kisses after we got home that afternoon. Their names fit their personalities well! Kisses is very affectionate. KitKat is Miss Independent and constantly getting into mischief. Kisses takes on the Momma role and is more timid. She can definitely be a “scaredy cat” at times.

They love to chase the little balls from the boys’ Nerf guns because they can easily fit in their mouths and bounce high. They also love to chase the laser pointer. They love laying outside on our screened porch. They love to pounce on each other and can get pretty rough. It’s hilarious to watch them, and they constantly keep us entertained!

We rescued them on December 1, 2017, from the Nashville Cat Rescue at Pet Supermarket in Cool Springs.”

Aidan is 13. He plays drums and is in a rock band called Donut Creme. He’s in 7th grade at Woodland Middle.

Austin is 10. He loves karate and is currently an orange belt. He has his green belt and will get his purple belt in April! He’s in 4th grade at Crockett Elementary.

Thanks for looking!
