East C.A.N. Adoptable Dogs Part Two {Nashville Pet Photographer}

This is part two of the East C.A.N. adoptable pups (and a few that have been adopted already)!  I was so happy to photograph a big, fun group of these dogs a few weeks ago.  They are all sweethearts and looking for their new families! Check out Part One here.

Please contact  East C.A.N. directly if you are interested in meeting one of these sweet pups! Also, please consider sharing this blog and the images to help get these pups adopted.

Our first pup is Gibson. He's not up on the official East C.A.N. site yet because he is in training, but he'll be up on the site soon and you can absolutely still ask about adopting him in the meantime! Such a sweet guy!

And meet sweet Marmee. Yes, Little Women is where the name came from, and who doesn't love that! She loves to go on trips and adventures with you, and she’ll do just about anything for a treat and a belly rub. She has excellent house manners and is very good about staying on schedule (potty breaks, bedtime).

Omar is a handsome guy full of youthful energy and eager to please. He wants nothing more than to be with people, cuddling in your lap or at your feet. He gets along great with other dogs and plays sweetly with the neighbors puppy. Omar is house-trained and loves spending time sun-bathing in the yard.

Patsy Cline. What more can I say? Patsy had a serious leg injury, but is doing great now. She is only 37 pounds, and quite a love.

Zevon -Have you ever met a dog that loves everything and everyone? Would you like to? Then you want to meet Zevon. He is cat friendly (seriously; he lives with 6 cats!) and dog friendly.  He is a 2 years old Boston Terrier/Boxer mix that has been fully vetted. He will thrive in a home that is active and has a structured household.

And last but not least, Bruce Springstein. Bruce is happy to say that he was adopted into his forever family and doing great! But I couldn't help sharing that sweet face anyway! :)

East C.A.N. Adoptable Dogs {Nashville Pet Photographer}

I am so excited to introduce you to some amazing pups who are looking for forever homes through East C.A.N. I had so much fun photographing this group of amazing dogs, all of whom are super sweet and filled with personality!

Please contact me or East C.A.N. directly if you are interested in meeting one of these sweet pups! Some of them are very new, so they might not be on their website yet, but you can absolutely still email (info@eastcan.org) about them. There are a few pups in the blog that are adoption pending on the website, but if you like them please go ahead and email East C.A.N. as it's always great to have more interest!

Also, please consider sharing this blog and the images to help get these pups adopted!

Stay tuned for another post this week of  more awesome adoptable dogs  :)

Thanks for looking!

~ Mandy

To kick things off, I would love to introduce you to Hunter! He's a super sweet 2 year old lab mix who loves walks, people and other dogs. He also really loves car rides! He has great indoor manners and is leash and crate trained. *as I posted the blog I got word that Hunter is adoption pending - yay!

Leroy was left behind (along with Etta & Coltrain) when his owners moved. He is 1 year old shepard mix and is house, leash and crate trained. He is a happy, healthy boy who never meets a stranger! Just look at that face!!

Junebug is a sweet girl who is pending adoption right now!! So excited for her :)

Coltrain is Leroy & Etta's yard mate. He's a 1 year old, 45 pound cuddle bug who is house, crate and leash trained!. He's great with kids, dogs AND cats too!  He'd love an active home where he can spend his day playing and going for walks, and then cuddling up on the couch with you to watch a movie :)

Sweet Teddy is pending adoption too! We're so excited for him :)

And last but certainly not least, Etta! This sweet girl has a special place in my heart. She is actually my favorite (but don't tell the others!). Etta modeled as the feature dog in a styled shoot I photographed earlier this summer and she rocked it! Etta is also adoption pending, and whoever gets this sweet girl is just plain LUCKY.

Giving Back - Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary

Today's blog is about spreading the word for a wonderful organization I recently became involved with.  Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary is pretty special for a lot of different reasons. They focus their efforts on senior dogs, who face a much greater chance of euthanasia at shelters than younger dogs because it is difficult to find adopters for them due to their shorter additional life expectancy and unknown vet costs.

They find these wonderful older pups forever foster or adoptive homes where they can live out their retirement years as a loved family member, and in the meantime the pups are able to stay at the sanctuary! Truly a much needed organization! I learned about them when they contacted me to help at their yearly fundraiser, Dog Art for Old Friends. Such a fun event at the Omni Hotel, filled with all kinds of great dog focused art! I think I had the best job there though, I ran a photo booth with a very popular dog sanctuary pup - Leo. For a donation, guests could get their photo made with this super cute fellow!

Please take a moment to check out this wonderful organization and consider helping out in any way you can. And thank you to all our photo booth friends!

Here are a few of my favorites from the night,

~ Mandy
