The Owens Family {Nashville Dog Photography}

The Owens Family and I headed to the Ellington Agriculture Center for some beautiful fall photos with their dogs! I love how the colors in the background go perfectly with the outfits they chose.

The people: Carly and Nate. The Pets: Dobby and Waffle.

Dobby is a 3-year-old Corgi mix. Carly named him after Dobby the House Elf from the Harry Potter series because that was her favorite character in the series. Dobby is her baby :). He is extremely energetic and loves food of any kind! He also loves people and will play fetch for hours. Dobby really hates being woken-up or having his feet touched. Carly’s favorite things about him are his intelligence and loyalty! He is almost too smart at times and would follow her anywhere!

Waffle is an 8-month old Great Pyrenees. She is named Waffle because Nate just said it, and well, it just fit. Waffle was supposed to be the Owens’ very first foster, but after 15 minutes, Nate asked if they could keep her! Waffle loves food, being outside, and cuddling. She thinks she still weighs ten pounds, and therefore, she must be a lapdog! She loves to climb on people’s lap. Waffle is the opposite of her brother and seems to love everything. Carly’s favorite thing about her is that she gives boops with her noise instead giving kisses.

I hope you enjoy the cute dog photos below.

The Nashville Sounds, Tito's Handmade Vodka and Agape Animal Rescue {Nashville Dog Photographer}

Who is ready for some baseball, vodka and cute dog photos?! The Nashville Sounds season starts TODAY, and so I wanted to share some fun dog photos I did at the Sounds field, and with some of the Sounds players! The pics you see below are from two photo shoots I got to do back in 2019. It was soooo fun being on the field with all the dogs and the players!

So how does the Sounds, Tito’s Vodka and Agape Animal Rescue come together in one place? Well, Tito’s is a big supporter of Agape Animal Rescue. DogJo, Tito’s companion, inspired “Vodka for Dog People Program” which inspired their support for animal rescues. Tito’s sponsor's Tail Waggin’ Tuesday’s with the Sounds, where you can bring your pup to the game! Tickets are $30 ($25 for human, $5 for pup) with all the dog ticket proceeds going to local animal nonprofit organizations, including Agape. There was a halt on Tito’s Tail Waggin’ Tuesdays for a bit, but it is back and starts TONIGHT. You can find dates for all those Tuesday games at Sounds Tuesdays. Agape’s donation nights are tonight and May 17 if you’d like to attend a game supporting them!

Now about the dog photos below…The two bulldogs were from a shoot I did with Tito’s and the Sounds. They were part of a dog calendar Tito’s made! At the time, Dooley (fawn) was nine years old. He has lived in Nashville since he turned one. Because he grew up around lots of people, he is a very social dog! He likes to get scratches on his booty and cares more about hanging out with humans than other dogs. Muggsy (brindle) was four years old at the time, and was born in Nashville. She has never met a ball she doesn’t like and will chase them all over the place. Both dogs love snuggles, snacks and making new friends!

The pictures with the other dogs were from a specific collaboration between Tito’s, Agape, and the Sounds with adoptable pups from Agape. I really did love the chance to take such fun photos of the pups and players!

Enjoy the pics below and good luck to the Nashville Sounds this season!

Christy and Harley {Nashville Pet Photographer}

This week on the blog, we have Christy and Harley. We had our session at the at Ellington Agriculture Center in Nashville, TN, one of my favorite locations. This post celebrates the life of this sweet little pug, Harley. He passed away pretty soon after our session.

Harley was 13 and a half at the time these cute dog photos with Christy were taken. He is named after none other than the motorcycle! This sweet boy loved bananas, and he really disliked nothing. Christy described him as “funny, loving, never met a stranger, and could bring a smile to anyone's face.” She said, “and I mean ANYONE’s face!” This is 100% true.

Christy’s favorite things about Harley was his personality and unconditional love. He made a great companion. Another great thing-pugs love everyone!

Christy said she wanted the photos to 'show the love' between herself and Harley. I think we did just that :).
