Waggy Tails Dog Boarding and Daycare {Vendor Spotlight}

September is almost over, and back-to-school is in full swing. I thought it might be a good time to share some photos from an event I did at Waggy Tails Pet Center. Waggy Tails provides doggie daycare, boarding and dog training. They even offer bath and spa options while the pups are in their care. What makes their place so different from other dog care centers: “It’s quite simple actually – We love on your fur babies just as much as you do! That’s a bold statement and we don’t take it lightly. They give us unconditional love and we do our best to return that to them!”

Be aware that if you are looking for doggie day care, boarding, and/or spa treatments from Waggy Tails, they will soon be rebranded as UnlshdK9 and will be expanding the business around Nashville. Right now, there are two locations in Franklin: One is off of Columbia Avenue and the other is off of Hwy 96.

The amazing staff and I had a lot of fun wrangling the dogs in for the back-to-school photo ops. I appreciate all the staff did to assist with putting on this event that was just for the pups!

I hope you enjoy our back to school pups!

Mia and Remy {Nashville Dog Photographer}

Before we get to these sweet photos of Mia Becker and her gal Remy, just a bit of housekeeping. My fall mini session calendar will be coming out at the end of the month. Please sign up for my newsletter if you would like to be of the first to see available openings. You can do that here! The newsletter list gets that mini calendar first and spots will book up quickly.

Now for Mia and Remy, her gorgeous Rottweiler…we did a one-hour session at a beautiful, private farm near Franklin, TN. Remy is three and is named after the main character of the Pixar movie Ratatouille, which is one of Mia’s favorite movies.

Remy really loves playing and will even entertain herself playing with one of her favorite toys if Mia is busy. However, this cute dog would definitely prefer playing fetch or chase with Mia or with other dogs. The one thing Remy really hates: having her nails trimmed. Can you blame her?

Mia’s favorite thing about Remy is her disposition. She is so happy, sweet, gentle, loyal, and affectionate. Her energy is contagious, and she is always making Mia laugh. When asked about why Mia loves the Rottweiler breed so much, she stated: “I love how they’re a perfect balance of silly and serious. They instinctively know when to be fiercely protective and when they can relax and be goofy.”

I hope you love the photos as much as I do!

The Hartmann Family {Nashville Dog Photography}

I’m so happy to share, for the second time, the Hartmann family! They have been on the blog before, about three years ago. Sadly, the sweet corgis they had at that time have passed on, and they have now added two sweet new pups to their pack. You can take a look at that session here: The Hartmann Family

We took these photos at Shelby and Thomas’ beautiful home in Franklin. Introducing a one-and-a-half-year-old Welsh corgi named Eddy Merckx, and a five-year-old dachshund named Asher.

When I asked the couple about their dogs’ names, they told me Asher already had his name, but they loved it! Eddy Merckx is named after cyclist, a world champion one, at that!
Asher loves his treats and really all food but dislikes having squirrels in his yard. Eddy Merckx loves his (and Asher’s!) toys, but he hates baths.

Shelby and Thomas love that both Asher and Eddy are so loyal to them AND to each other. “It is the sweetest.”

While Eddy M is not a rescue dog, Asher is. He came from TN Dachshund Rescue (TDR). Which the Hartmann’s “HIGHLY RECOMMEND” with a “shout out to Sheraine and Jamie!”

I also wanted to know what it was about these dog breeds this couple loved. They said:

“Asher is our first doxie, and we will definitely go back to TDR.  They did a great job of pairing us with a dog that fit our needs after our sweet Norman passed away.  Doxies are fierce little hunters but very loyal and kind.  We are smitten! Eddy Merckx is our 3rd corgi - we love their herding nature and how they like to ‘keep all of us together’.”

I hope you enjoy these great photos of this couple and their cute dogs!
