I promised a lot of dogs on the blog this week and that is exactly what you are going to get! Up on today's blog are two sweet, big boys - Barney & Mick! First up is sweet, happy, energetic Barney. He currently lives in a foster home with 8 other animals. Yep, you read that right. So, Barney is very animal friendly. He had some super sweet playtime with a very little puppy while I was there photographing him. Barney is about 1 year old and really loves to play.
He's just a lovable goofball! He has been neutered and is up-to-date on his vaccinations. Barney wants nothing more than to be near his leader and will wait patiently for instruction once he knows what’s being asked of him. Trying to play fetch with him is hysterical. He will chase the ball…but only for a second before he runs straight back to his person with those eyes begging for acceptance and love. There really is something special about this boy, and we can’t wait to see him flourish in a home that gives him the life he deserves. He will be an amazing companion!
Next up is Mick. He is a gorgeous big boy with the softest fur ever. Seriously, it feels like velvet. And those ears!! A very handsome boy for sure. Mick came into East C.A.N. when a member saw him get hit by a car. He managed to survive the accident without any major injuries! Simply put, this boy is amazing. He’s bounced back from his accident so well and he’s a sweet guy who wants nothing more than to hang out with you and get a belly rub or an ear scratch.
He’s a big strong guy, so he would likely do best with older children, but he’s also a gentle enough soul that he should be fine with younger children with proper supervision. He’s smart, very eager to please, and very responsive when you tell him what he’s supposed to do. He also LOVES treats, which helps so much with training. He’s crate trained and is learning his leash manners. Mick weighs about 65 pounds, he’s fully vetted, neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped.
If you’re interested in offering Barney or Mick a forever home, please contact info@eastcan.org. Learn more about the adoption process at East C.A.N.'s website - while you're there check out all the sweet adoptables (more pics coming to the website soon!)
