Samantha, Our Newest Foster Puppy! {Nashville Pet Photographer}

The blog has been all about the four legged foster babies of ours lately, and hey, who doesn't love puppies!  Not to worry, if you are more interested in the two legged, human kids there will be plenty of posts on them in the next couple of weeks.  I had to take today to introduce you to our newest foster, little Samantha.

Our buddy Don Draper was adopted by a wonderful couple last week and we loved the experience of having a puppy in the house again so much we decided to take on another little one. Samantha is a bruiser of a girl, she is 10 weeks and will probably be a bigger dog (I say probably because with mixes you really never know exactly - it's all best guesses).  Ironically, the reason she is with us is because she is the runt of the litter and her bigger sister was beating her up pretty badly so she needed to be separated from them.  She is very cuddly and so far, sleeps most of the time. In fact, she's sleeping behind me in the office as I type - snoring!  She is getting along great with our Rosie, and the two cats haven't had to talk with her about anything just yet :)  Her mom is a Corgi/Carolina dog and dad is, well who knows.

Samantha is being foster through the group Noah's Ark Society so please contact them or me if you are interested in meeting this little one. Thanks for looking and if you can't adopt please consider sharing her information on facebook or twitter.

Don Draper {Nashville Foster Puppy}

I'm sure some of you saw on Twitter or Facebook that David & I got a new foster puppy. Which means, of course, a foster puppy blog post. So, here he is - all 8 pounds of him! This little guy, four of his siblings and his mom was rescued by a wonderful couple in Berry Hill. Most of the pups have already been adopted and mom (who they think is a Border Collie/Shepard mix) is getting stronger everyday. At 10 weeks old he has already had a couple of names: Parsley (they named all the pups after herbs at first), then Victor. My husband thinks his name might be Baxter, but I'm not so sure. I kind of like Don Draper (yes, we've been watching a lot of Mad Men lately :)

No matter what his name is, this guy is super cute. He's some kind of Border Collie mix (who knows who dad is). He's doing great with our dog Rosie and our cats outweigh him by double, so he's getting along great with them too. We are working on crate and potty training and he's doing good so far.

If you'd like to meet him please let me know!  Our  first photo shoot was only 18 hours after we got him, so he was a bit shy - but I think his personality comes through.

And I'm pretty sure he'd fit in your Christmas stocking.
