Meet Meatloaf - our new East C.A.N. foster puppy! {Nashville Dog Photographer}

I thought it couldn't be more fitting for the first blog post of the new year to be our newest foster puppy Meatloaf! Meatloaf is 8 weeks old, is weighing in at 8 pounds and has had her first round of shots. She is doing great in our zoo of a house with our three other dogs and two cats.

She loves to play and then sleep cuddled up at your feet - repeat often :) She's only been an inside dog since Sunday night and is really doing great with her crate and potty training! She is a little fluffy snuggler for sure, and is happy and curious as well!

Meatloaf has two sisters also in need of homes (Carrot & Potato), if you are interested in meeting Meatloaf or any of her siblings please contact me or East C.A.N. for more info! All East C.A.N. dogs are up for adoption on a first come, first served basis according to who has filled out the application first, so don't delay if you are interested - these sweet girls won't be in foster for long!

Thanks for looking and Happy New Year!

Help Rome find a home! {Nashville Dog Photographer}

Okay, my community of awesome, dog loving people - I need your help! This handsome fellow is not one of our fosters, but he does need a home asap! Rome is a medium sized border collie mix, he's got SUCH a cute face! He's a little over a year old and is up to date on all his shots & heartworm medication. He's been in lots of training to be a service dog this year! He walks great on a leash and loves to play & go for runs. He's good with other dogs (we don't know about cats) and loves kids!

Rome has had a pretty great year really. He was taken out of a kennel and into a wonderful foster home in February of 2012. They have been working with a trainer weekly and he is a very well behaved guy!  He is great with basic commands: sit, down, stay, wait, leave it, halt, heal, front, walk, up, off, speak. He can also get his leash and bring it. And as we were doing photos he just laid there as bikes and people walked by him-attentive but staying right where he should be.

Unfortunately the wonderful people who have been fostering him will be unable to keep him for much longer. They are moving and can't take him with them during this process.

If he goes back to the rescue group they are fostering with he will more than likely be kenneled until they find another foster or forever home for him. We want to avoid that so he doesn't lose all this great training!

If you are interested in meeting Rome please contact Stephanie at spikegannar@gmail.com, and fill out an application for him at http://www.proverbs1210rescue.org/. He'd love to meet you!

Our new foster pup - Louie! {Nashville Dog Photographer}

If you follow me on any type of social media you have, of course, already seen the super cute foster puppy we have - Louie! Louie has been with us now for just 5 days, and he's doing great! So, a little about Louie. He's about 8 weeks old now, and still a tiny thing - much smaller than our two cats (which they like :) He is a shepard mix, and although it's always tough to say how big a little puppy will one day be - it doesn't look as though he's going to be huge. We are thinking more in the medium size range.

He is just wonderful. Curious, playful, sweet - LOVES to nap on your lap! He's is only getting up once during the night to go outside (which is great for his age) and he is really getting the concept of potty training and has been doing really well with it. So, in a nutshell, he's pretty wonderful.

He could be yours! Just contact me or East C.A.N. directly if you are interested in meeting this sweetie!
